Family Enhancement

Helping youth and their families be successful in their lives is the heart of our mission at Woodland Hills. Our programs incorporate family involvement and offer opportunities for parent/child interactions and support. Neighborhood Youth Services supports families through advocacy, parent/family education and mentoring. Special events held throughout the year strengthen family and community connections. For youth in our residential and day treatment programs, family involvement plays a significant role in treatment planning and youth progress toward goals. Staffings and regularly scheduled family visits allow youth and their families to reconnect, communicate and heal.

Recommended Family Involvement Schedule

Please be aware that family visits are limited to immediate family unless approved by Woodland Hills’ program staff in advance. If there are conflicts with the visitation schedule noted below or to find out the location for family visits, please contact your child’s Treatment Team Manager.

Chisholm House

Cougars – first and third Sunday of each month at Woodland Hills from 12:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.

Challengers – every Sunday at the Chisholm Home from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Residential Treatment Center

Residential Treatment Center - visits conducted from 12-5 p.m. at Woodland Hills

  • Lakers – every second and fourth Sunday of each month
  • Trailblazers – every first and third Sunday of each month
  • Voyageurs – every second and fourth Sunday of each month
  • Falcons – every first and third Sunday of each month
  • Pioneers – every second and fourth Sunday of each month

Family visits can be set up as needed for youth in the Community Transition programs. Visit requests can be scheduled by contacting program staff directly.

Phone Call Schedule

Youth in our residential programs can make telephone calls to immediate family during scheduled times. Collect calls or phone cards are required for youth calling long distance. Youth are able to call home twice per week.
