> Residential Treatment Services for Mental Health
In order to effectively meet the complex array of needs of youth today, Woodland Hills expanded its continuum of care in 2009 by obtaining an SED Certification through the Minnesota Department of Human Services. Our new residential mental health program offers a therapeutic living environment to adolescents aged 12-17 designated through a diagnostic assessment as needing residential mental health treatment. We currently operate one female and one male unit with the capacity of twelve clients in each unit. The goal of this program is to help clients reduce mental health symptoms so they are better able to cope while in the community, ultimately improving their quality of life.
Services are delivered under the supervision of an on-site Mental Health Professional and include individual, group and family psychotherapy, as well as skill development groups. The program provides treatment consistent with an individualized treatment plan.
With research-based curriculums and a strength-based, multi-modal therapeutic approach, a variety of services are provided in order to completely address the physical, emotional and mental health needs of clients in our care:

Eligibility
- Peer-oriented males and females ages 12-17
- Consider youth who are under court or social service supervision; private placements eligible
- Youth must be designated by a current diagnostic assessment (within last 6 months) as SED and in need of residential mental health services
