Woodland Hills is grateful to those that help children discover their potential. Exceptional efforts by individuals and organizations are recognized with the Beringer Guiding Light award and this year’s recipients were acknowledged in September.

- Beringer Guiding Light Philanthropist – Grandma’s Restaurant Co.
- Beringer Guiding Light Exceptional Service Award – Duluth Police Department
- Beringer Guiding Light Excellence in Achievement Award – Gina Flannigan and Erik Mattson, employees of Woodland Hills
The Beringer award honors Sr. Mary Martin Beringer, who worked in numerous capacities at Woodland Hills between 1962 and 1975 when it was St. James Children’s Home. She was the first award recipient in 2002.
