Former Intensive Day Treatment Student
Igniting a spark that grows
When I started high school, I ran into trouble from the start. To me,
it seemed a very different world with a lot of responsibilities and
peer pressure, not to mention consequences. In the first semester of
my freshman year, all odds were against me. I was truant from school
and experimenting with alcohol.
I soon found myself in the court system. From there, I was court-ordered
to attend the Woodland Hills Intensive Day Treatment (IDT) program.
I entered the program with no credits for the first semester. But during
nine months in the program, I was able to complete and earn all required
credits for my ninth grade year. The IDTprogram helped me in so many ways.
With the help of the staff and teachers, I focused on my problems,
learned how to avoid peer pressure and graduated high school.
Today I am married with three children. I started my own business – a
staffing agency – that has successfully grown to a national coverage
company and has been continuously doubling in sales each year. I have
also attended the Kellogg School of Management in Evanston, Illinois.
"The Intensive Day Treatment program helped me in so many ways."
